1. Who We Are

Trevolo ("we", "us") operates the Trevolo booking marketplace at trevolo.ca. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: email address, name, phone number, and your role (customer or business owner).

Business data: business name, address, service descriptions, availability schedules, and pricing.

Booking data: appointment details, service addresses you provide, booking notes, and booking history.

Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the Platform (collected via server logs).

Payment data: Trevolo does not store your payment card details. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the booking platform.
  • To send booking confirmations, reminders, and service notifications.
  • To process subscription and credit payments via Stripe.
  • To improve the Platform and troubleshoot issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Information Shared with Service Providers

When you book an appointment, your name, email, and booking details are shared with the Business provider fulfilling that booking. This is necessary to deliver the service.

We use the following third-party processors:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Amazon Web Services / SES — transactional email delivery.
  • Mapbox — address search and geocoding (client-side only).
  • PostgreSQL (cloud-hosted) — data storage.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for at least 24 months for business and legal purposes. You may request account deletion at any time (see section 7).

6. Cookies and Local Storage

Trevolo uses a session cookie to store your authentication token (JWT). This cookie is essential for the Platform to function. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information via your account settings.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data. You can do this directly in Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing privacy@trevolo.ca.
  • Withdraw consent to optional communications.

Residents of the EU (GDPR) and California (CCPA) have additional rights. Contact us at privacy@trevolo.ca to exercise them.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a unique email address and to report security concerns to security@trevolo.ca.

9. Children

The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
