1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Trevolo ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
Trevolo is a marketplace platform that connects customers with local service providers ("Businesses"). Trevolo provides scheduling and booking technology but is not itself a service provider. All services are provided by independent third-party Businesses.
3. User Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. We use a one-time code sent to your email to verify your identity each time you sign in. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
4. Business Owner Obligations
Business owners using Trevolo agree to:
- Provide accurate information about services, pricing, and availability.
- Honor confirmed bookings made through the Platform.
- Comply with all applicable laws and licensing requirements in their jurisdiction.
- Maintain appropriate liability insurance for their services.
- Ensure that any employee profiles, photos, or bios published through the Platform are accurate and shared with the employee's consent.
5. Booking and Payment
Trevolo facilitates booking scheduling only. Payment for services is collected directly by the Business — not by Trevolo. Customers do not pay Trevolo directly for bookings.
Trevolo charges Businesses for use of the Platform through subscription plans or per-booking credits. Business subscription and credit payments are processed by Stripe, and Businesses agree to Stripe's Services Agreement when subscribing.
6. Cancellation Policy
Individual Businesses may set a minimum cancellation notice period for their services (e.g., 24 hours before the appointment). If a cancellation notice period is in effect, you will see it displayed on the service page at the time of booking. Cancellations made after the cutoff may be declined by the Platform.
When no cancellation notice period is set, bookings may be cancelled at any time before the appointment. Businesses may independently enforce their own refund policies outside the Platform.
7. Reviews and User Content
Customers may leave a rating and written review after a completed booking. You may submit one review per booking. Reviews must be truthful, based on your genuine experience, and free from abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory language.
Trevolo reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines or applicable law.
8. Referral Program
Trevolo may offer a referral program that rewards Businesses for referring new Businesses to the Platform. Referral rewards are granted as booking credits and are subject to change or discontinuation at any time, at Trevolo's sole discretion. Abuse of the referral program (including self-referrals or fraudulent accounts) may result in forfeiture of credits and account suspension.
9. Prohibited Use
You agree not to: use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service; submit false or misleading information; interfere with the proper working of the Platform; scrape, copy, or redistribute Platform data without permission.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and technology on the Platform are the property of Trevolo or its licensors. Users grant Trevolo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute content they submit (including business names, descriptions, logos, employee photos, and review text) solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Trevolo does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
12. Limitation of Liability
Trevolo is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Businesses, nor for any disputes between customers and Businesses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trevolo's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Trevolo in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
Trevolo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Platform. You may delete your account at any time from your Account page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to Terms
Trevolo may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the Platform.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
